          I am no doubt similar to many visual artists, experiencing a need that can't be put aside, the need to explore aspects of the visual world whenever time or circumstances allow and to share the results of that exploration.  I have categorized myself here as "pastel painter" and "sculptor" but in reality those categories seem artificial and constricting, though I suppose, necessary.  Like many artists, any project/work becomes an exploration of the visually attuned part of us, the part that questions or understands "things" or "views" and their links to ideas; it is a way of interfacing with the world.
